System Developer – Schema Registry Architect

We are seeking a skilled Schema Registry Architect to support the design, optimization, and management of a Centralized Schema Registry built on Apicurio (licensed from Red Hat). This role focuses on enhancing data consistency, performance, and integration across a distributed event-driven system. You will leverage tools like Kubernetes, GCP serverless, and PubSub, with a strong emphasis on automation using GitHub and Terraform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and enhance the Centralized Schema Registry to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Integrate the registry seamlessly with platforms using GCP serverless, PubSub, and Kubernetes.
• Implement infrastructure automation to support CI/CD processes.
• Advise on schema management best practices, including versioning, compatibility, and validation in an event-driven ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with product, development, and infrastructure teams to maintain a stable, scalable schema registry.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions to ensure registry availability and performance.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ Years experience in DevOps and cloud-native environments, with a focus on security and performance.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Apicurio or similar schema registry platforms.
• Knowledge of API management, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align on technical goals.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Openshift, and Terraform.
• Understanding of schema management for data consistency in production environments.
